Is it possible to use Query Builder to audit a user and whether they or someone else accidentally deleted something from their favorites folder? I'm wondering what a query like that might look like. I'm new to query builder and tried a few things but still haven't quite wrapped my head completely around it.

Crystal Web Server
Hello SCN Users,
I am having difficulty finding this information. I have tried to look everywhere. When we install CR/BO, Application & Web server are installed on the same server. I want to separate the web server from the application so that the external users can access it through internet. How can i achieve this? Your help will be highly appreciated.

Hello All,
Please let me know if its possible to hardcode one enterprise user credentials in opendoc.jsp so that for every opendoc call only the hardcoded enterprise credentials will be utilized. If there is any sample code available to start with this would be of great help. Also please note that we have Windows AD SSO enabled in our environment, so basically I dont want the opendoc URLs to go through SSO instead one hardcoded enterprise credentials.
Using Token is a headache as we will have to create logon token for every opendoc URL and there is a bug as well where in one browser session two opendoc URLs with different sessions cannot be active. KBA 2057349 - HTTP 500 Error happens from a single browser session when multiple users try to view a report using opendocument with their respective logon token.
Any inputs would be of great help.

UMT CMS login issue
Hello Experts,
I am trying to perform migration with Upgrade management tool and after entering the source and target login info about a minute or so and i am getting the following error:
Error : Could not reach CMS 'Server name'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030) What could be the issue?
I telnet port 6400 and its open in Target and Source system.
I tried to search for the error code this is the notes i found from SAP. Everything mentioned in this document seems to be in order and working. I am wandering why i am not able to still login as based on the document below everything works fine. Did someone experience the same issue before? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Best practice support to avoid corrupting user favourites
I am a business user of BI4.1 with Hana. I get really frustrated when, in order to resolve reporting defects, our support team change key figures in a way that corrupts users' saved reports. This requires a lot of extra work for users to recreate them. I'm told that this would be unnecessary if the support team were to resolve reporting defects in the backend. However they do not have access to make changes in the backend and they also do not see it as their responsibility to avoid corrupting user favourites. Is this normal? I'm trying to convince them otherwise. Is there available any guidance on best practice for Hana and BI support?

The Product Availability Matrix for Edge 4.0 is from 2011 and it says that Windows 2008 is needed...but not sure about Windows 2012 and if there is a more later version of Product Availability Matrix available anywhere.
The PAM from 2011 is here...
Also, are 4 CPUs required at a minimum as in the PAM ? (Slide 20)
Minimum Server Hardware Requirements 4 x 2.0 GHz Core CPU 8 GB RAM minimum / recommend 16 GB RAM

SSO not working

We are using SSO to our BO platform based on Windows AD group. While I am trying to SSO to it, its not working butI COULD ABLE TO LOGIN MANUALLY BY WINDOWS AD.

ECC to BI integration

How do we migrate our existing BOBJ system to a new system (for language pack install)?
Hi all
We have a BI4.0 system on which we need to install additional languages.
Although it's on SP5, our base level was only SP3 - so unfortunately we need to reinstall the product as per the following SAP Note:

But how do we actually migrate our existing system across to a new install? The only documentation I can find seems to be on how to migrate for an upgrade.
We want to stay on BI4.0 SP5 for now, we just need to have the minimum base level to be able to install the languages.
I assume the process is:
Build a new system with SP>4
Install the languages we require
Migrate our existing system
But not sure how to do the latter.
I guess we could also do it in another order, i.e. migrare to the new system, then install the languages? Does it matter which way round it's done?

merge more dimensions in two queries in Webi
Hi, I have two queries in my report.
query "1" from the universe "1" and query "2" from the universe "2".
the two queries are joined from two dimensions "Codice Nodo" and "ID Cliente".
When I refresh the report, only "Codice Nodo" is read and the data show the error "#VALOREMULTI" because the second join is trasparent.
The same report in DeskI format is ok.
in WEBI is possibile to join only one dimension?

Dear All,
Please help me to find out way to move content from BO 4.1 Dev to BO 4.1 QA .
Pramotion mamangent tool is not allowing us to do bluck export which are more than 2000 objects.
I have requiremnt to move more than 2000 objects, lets say 4000 in single shot.
As a alternate soltion i can create two promotion jobs to achive this.
Please sujject us , how to move all the 4000 objects in a single pramotion job insted of creating multiple pramotions.

Error migration Business Content workbook 3.x to 7.0
Hello friends,
I can not migrate workbooks of business content to version 7.0
I activated all workbooks BW 7.4, but I can not see them because it tells me that migrate is necessary, however when I try to migrate the error and warning me that I detail below appears.
On the other hand, I found the document Cookbook BEx Migration for delivering possible solutions but have not succeeded.
Diagnosis
An error occurred while reading the metadata associated with this query in the workbook. This metadata is stored in two hidden repository sheets: SAPBEXqueries and SAPBEXfilters. The error may have been caused by corrupt metadata in the hidden sheets. It is also possible that these are BW 2.x workbooks that were opened directly in the BEx Analyzer from SAP NetWeaver 7.0.
System Response
Since the metadata was not read correctly, it is possible that the query in the workbook was not upgraded correctly. The upgrade process continued, but there may be consistency issues, which you should check for by refreshing the workbook. If you are working with a BW 2.x workbook, the workbook may not be upgraded at all.
Procedure
First try refreshing the workbook in the 7.0 Analyzer to check whether the query refreshes correctly despite these errors and whether these errors can be ignored. If the query refreshes correctly, the warning can be ignored and the workbook can be saved.
If the workbook does not refresh correctly in the 7.0 Analyzer, check whether it refreshes correctly in the 3.x Analyzer. If errors occur while refreshing the workbook in the 3.x Analyzer, the workbook is probably corrupt. You should then investigate the cause of this in the 3.x Analyzer.
If the workbook refreshes correctly in the 3.x Analyzer, another possible cause could be that the Excel workbook or worksheet is protected. Try unprotecting the worksheet or workbook and upgrading it again in the 7.0 Analyzer.
If the workbook was created using 2.x Analyzer, save the workbook again in the 3.x Analyzer and try opening it in the 7.0 Analyzer.
If none of these solutions resolve the problem, there may be other compatibility issues between the 3.x and the 7.0 Analyzer. In such cases, check whether you can make adjustments manually with the 7.0 Analyzer to solve the problem.
Diagnosis
The workbook that you have opened is an SAP BW 3.x workbook. This by default calls the upgrade service, which upgrades this workbook to a 7.0 workbook.
System Response
The BEx Analyzer tries to upgrade this workbook to a 7.0 workbook.
Procedure
When the workbook is opened, it is automatically upgraded to a 7.0 workbook. Therefore, when you see the workbook, it has already been upgraded. You need to refresh this workbook to check whether it has been upgraded successfully, and then save it. Once you save the workbook, it is permanently upgraded to the newer version and the old version is no longer available.

Tomcat cluster load balancer
Dear experts,
I am setting up BI platform with clustered servers. BI 4.1 SP5
2 BI Servers
2 Tomcat servers
Planning to use F5 for LB purpose.
Do i need to cluster the Tomcat servers first and setup the F5 LB or Just setting up the load balancing at F5 will take care of Tomcat clustering?
I looked at many posts, they all talk about Apache with Tomcat.
Irrespective of any LB used either software load balance (Apache) or Hardware load balance (Like F5), still need to cluster the Tomcat as described in Pattern books?

BI 4.1 upgrade
Hi,
We have an BO 3.1 environment and crystal reports 2008 installed. We are planning to upgrade to 4.1. what all would we need to install in 4.1?
Will it be BI4.1 plaform , client tools & crystal reports 2013? Is installing crystal report 2013 similar to other client tools ? I do see crystal enterprise? Is it a upgrade of crystal 2008 or a new kind of product? I guess at the moment I need to know what all do I need to install if I were to upgrade from bo3.1 environmen (with crystal 2008 and client tools included) to BI4.1.
Also,for crystal if someone could help me understand the license key that would be great.
