Column to column in Crystal reports while viewing the Report from Bi launch pad some of the columns are Merging Data How to resolve this issue
I have't Placed CAN Grow Option to the Column Fields

we have a problem since upgrade from BO XI R2 SP2 to BO 4.0 SP11. After refreshing a report we get an error in some colums '0,#IND'. We checked the database and our universum, it seems ok. We imported all data to another server and the same report is ok. At our production server running Kaspersky Antivir - can this result an error like 0,#IND?

Hi fellow members,
We are having this issue now. Appreciate if someone can shed some light please.
Prior getting to this error, the oracle repository was terminated. But right now we have make sure our Oracle repository is up and running, so does the SIA. But still we are unable logon to BO. It seems that BO unable to communicate to the CMS/repository.
"Account information not recognized: Could not reach CMS 'xxx:6400'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)"
Kindly advise any workaround on this please.

Is it possible to fetch run time of each queries in a dashboards from Audit Database.
When I initially run the dashboard I could see 6 entries with different Event Detail value in the AUDIT.
Later when different selection is made and another query is executed that event is not logged in the AUDIT.
Below is the query am using

I recently migrated some crystal reports from CR XI to BO 4.1 and some of the reports have Cascading Dynamic Parameters
I was able to successfully run these reports when I log into BI Launchpad as an Administrator and the dynamic parameters where displayed for me to pick a value
However when I tried to run these reports when logged in as an AD user the dynamic parameters are not getting populated with values
I have searched through the forum and tried what was suggested here https://scn.sap.com/thread/3722041 but it didn't work

I know things usually are not downward compatible... we did not face this issue when we upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1 and we were happy and surprised.
Today I have dev on 4.1 sp5. upon saving webi on sp5, I cant open it in sp1 client tool or on sp1 test server... is there work around available?
We are experiencing issues with the BO Server, the WIReportserver process is consuming a lot of CPU resources lately, when we check in top command, more than 90% of CPU is consuming for some pid's , I've been looking for a solution, but I haven't found it yet, Is there a configuration to avoid this behavior? or Do you know possible causes?, because I've only found a configuration of disabling the Indexing of Universes, but had been previously set on that way on the Server.

Hello All,
I have created a publication using a Web I as dynamic recipient list. While destination was email, I was able to rename the file attachment and subject as per my needs (Using a column from report to rename the report pdf attachment). But when click on the publication history in BI launchpad, the name of the instance is still the default name created by BOBJ (<report name>: <random number>)
I was wondering if there is a way to change the name of the instance as well that we can see on BI launchpad in similar fashion as the one sent out. Please suggest.

I've been tracking a correlation between the LDAP update and the CMS crash since we moved to BI 4.0 SP05. Currently on BI 4.1 SP04, and testing a quick move from that to SP05.

Is there a way to bypass the launchpad credentials so a report can be automatically displayed in the web browser without asking for username and password?
For what I've found on the forums and I understand so far there is Single Sign On feature but it used to connect to another systems for example to connect SAP BO to SAP ERP.
Any idea to make this simple would be nice,

We have some publications based on a webi report on production environment that loses the source document after promoting it from other environment.
So the associated scheduling jobs becomes corrupted.
Does anyone knows about this issue in SAP BO BI 4.1 SP03 patch 4?

How to find hard coded text in multiple Crystal reports and Webi?

I'm looking for a way to list in some way the maximum number of (different) users were logged into the BI-Platform during a day.
Reason : suppose you are licensed or 100 concurrent users
A BI-Admin can look at any moment in CMC to see the number of open sessions. But that number can vary every minute.
In order to predict whether it is time to buy more concurrent licenses, one should know what the maximum number of users logged in was in a day.
Suppose that number always vary between 95 and 98 then it is almost for sure that on a certain day, there will be an 101th user who wants to log in, but cannot anymore.
So it would be very good to know pro-actively whether that is going to happen soon or not.
I was thinking to use the Auditing-database (universe), but at the first thoughts, I do not think there is a way to retrieve it easily.
Has somebody any idea how this info can be obtained ?

Installed SAP BI Platform SP05 on two machine(A,B) and performed clustered on A,B everything is working fine. Done Apache Web Split on A
and it is working fine and i want to implement Load Balancer on both tomcats of A & B.
When i used below script in workers.properties file in Apache2.4

and modified both servers A&B server.xml files with JvmPort. Everything is working fine.
But if the server A tomcat is down it has to redirect to Server B tomcat. But its failing to reach the server B.
If B is down and A is up then it is working.
Is it because of Apache Split am facing this issue ?

I have a system where I want to migrate the CMS / Audit DB to SQL Server.
The steps I plan to take are:
1. Setup CMS and Audit DB on SQL Server
2. Configure ODBC Connections to SQL Server
3. Disable all users - so no changes are made. (Any quick way to do this?)
4. Copy the Databases from SQL Express to SQL Server
5. Re-direct the BI 4.1 install to SQL Server Databases.
Anything I missed? Any other approaches? Anything I should be concerned/wary of? Just want to break the system!

I just wanted to get a appreciation of the best practices / what people do in reality in relation to landscape and patching.
We have a Development, Test and Production System.
If we were to patch a system and test it - do we also need a patching test system?
If we applied patches to Development and breaks something we would have to roll back. Also, this could impact development?
