Verify must be performed before the first refresh (CRS 300003)

Hello,

 

one of our customers has a Problem with the following error message "Verify must be performed bevore the first refresh (CRS 300003)" after a failed scheduling of a Crystal Report document. This error occurs at each scheduling.

In the CR Client or in the BI Launch pad it is possible to refresh the document.

 

With the schuling of other CR documents the customer has no problems.

 

Envirornment:

SAP BusinessObjects 4.1 SP5

SQL Server (Datasource)

 

Does anyone know the Problem/error message? Is there a solution for the Problem?

It is possible to deactivate the Validation of the CR document?

Balancing Reports load on two nodes

HI Experts,

 

We have a current situation where our report is hitting only one single node(Node A) and making a huge load and spikes in that server. The current CPU Runtime usage is 75-80 % in NodeA  but the CPU usage on the other node(Node B) is just 21%. Since we are getting complains from the fields from all over places saying the Reports are clocking and is taking very long time to get into and sometimes it even times out. The reason I can say at this time is due to the Load on Node A.

All I need to know is, How do I make a balance usage of both the nodes?

We have a Red Hat Linux environment and We have SAP Business Objects 4.1 SP 5 Patch 6 installation.

This is urgent. Please do help me.

Entry "Categories" lost in CMC after changing right "view objects"

Dear Community,

 

after changing the right "View Objects" in "Advanced" tab for the Everyone Group for "Categories" this entry is not longer available in CMC.

The target was to disable the Categories tab in InfoView for all users and not in the CMC. In InfoView the Categories tab is gone properly.

 

Does anybody know how to get back the "Categories" entry in the CMC?

Removed access for EVERYONE from CMC Applications

Good day all,

I managed to remove BO Explorer access for everyone by, literally, removing the BO group 'Everyone' as principals on the Explorer application in the CMC Applications area... ...on my production system...

The nett effect of this brainiac move is that absolutely no one has access to the Explorer, not even in the CMC Applications area. I tried to override the built-in security of not being able to remove a user from the Everyone group (if I can manage to do this then I'm sure I'll be home free) but it would not allow me to do this.

 

I found an OSS Note (1640881) that explains how to use the Java SDK to remove a user from a group. This piece of code is meant for BOBJ XI 3.1 so I hope it'll work. The code also does a manual check if to see if it is removing someone from the Everyone group then it halts so I'm hoping I've hit the jackpot with this code because I will just comment out the check for the Everyone group.

 

So, my questions - Does anyone know of another way to get an admin user to have access to the Explorer App in the CMC again? Or any tips on how to get this code to do the job for me? I've started compiling but it's missing the library files and I don't know where to find these - I can only find the .NET SDK download on the SMP.

 

PS BO BIP 4.0 SP5 Patch 17 (I think)

BI Workspace Help Needed

I'm new to BO4.1 and am using the BI Workspace application.  The manual provided with the Help library indicates that when adding a document to a workspace, I should be able to right-click on a part in a report and select Select this report part so that only the part selected appears.  When I right-click on a report part, the menu offers only two options:  Copy and Start Drill.

 

I don't know if this info is helpful or not, but I'm using IE11.

Create AD Plugin for Crystal Reports Server 2013

Can someone provide me with step-by-step instructions to create an Active Directory plugin for Crystal Reports Server 2013?  The server that the software is stored on is Windows Server 2012 R2.  Without the AD I cannot log on to the Console Manager.

Can't Load Crystal Reports data on CMC

Dears,

 

 

I've a user that supposed to be a log on user for crystal reports on CMC as it is configured on the reporting folder>database configuration.

every-time I need to view the data on any report i got the message "The report you requested requires further information."
However  i did an import for the users and roles of SAP ECC as this case is to connect directly on SAP ECC and it went smoothly with the roles and users.

 

I grant authorization to that user on (1) application>crystal reports, (2) Folders>Crystal reports documents.

But still face the above message when trying to refresh the report.

as a workaround i did setup of crystal reports on my local machine so I can re-export the reports with my new username and password to CMC.
But what i found is that when i open a report through SAP credentials I found nothing exist on server.

While if i access the repository explorer through the administrator i can see the crystal reports easily but can't refresh report through SAP credentials although that i can access through ECC with the same credentials.

 

In conclusion, I need crystal reports to connect to ECC.

i need to create reports on top of bex query. while connecting the query using BICS connection its giving me error PFA.

i tried 2 different queries. both giving different errors PFA

please help me solve it.

Clone BusinessObjects environment (from DB2 to MS SQL)

Hi all gurus.

 

do you think it's possible and easy to clone a businessobjects environment (universes, reports and connections) from one installation to another one?

 

i have a BO environment in which i created universes based on DB2 tables and webi reports.

 

i'd like to :

- copy the DB2 tables into a MS SQL database

- clone this environment (making an export of all bo objects and an import into a new BO installation).

do you think this is possible?

do you think i have to manually recreate all the joins of the universes after having create a new connection (from db2 to sql).

FCJ_POST_ALL not posting document

Hi,

 

I am developing VB dot net program to create Cash Journal document and Post it.

 

I am using BAPI_CASHJOURNALDOC_CREATE to create and BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to save new entries. This is working fine.

 

As BAPI FCJ_POST_ALL doesn't support RFC, I have created BAPI Z_FCJ_POST_ALL from standard BAPI FCJ_POST_ALL.

 

I have tested Z_FCJ_POST_ALL using SE37, it posts cash journal entry successfully.

 

Problem is when I am invoking Z_FCJ_POST_ALL within .net application it neither post entry nor generates any error message.


Though if I provide wrong GL account it generates appropriate exception in .net application.


How to solve this issue.

Full BOE on HANA?

Hi guys,

 

We're thinking about doing a full BOE 4.1 install on a HANA box, not just the audit and CMS. This should be do-able as HANA uses Linux as operating system.

 

Any thoughts or learnings on this?

NoSSO URL for CMC in BI 4.1 SP6 ?

Hi,

 

as we know, from BI 4.1 SP6, SSO can be used for CMC. Especially for administrators who need to login to CMC several times a day, this is a very nice feature. Thanks you, SAP !

 

Last weekend we upgraded to SP6 on our Production-environment.

 

Now I was wondering whether an URL can be used, as for Infoview and Explorer, to bypass the SSO.

 

But neither http://<YourServer>/BOE/CMC/logonNoSSO.jsp (the one for Infoview), nor http://<YourServer>/noSSO.jsp (the one mentioned in a SAP-Note for Explorer) is working.

 

Does somebody know if there is an URL to be used for No-SSO for CMC as well ?

License not valid

Hi,

 

I have downloaded and installed the software BO XI 3.1

 

After installation, when I open the web intelligence login page, "License not valid" message is pop up after given the credential.

 

but when I login designer tool with the same credential, I am able to access that tool.

 

Why it is asking "license not valid" for only web intelligence tool? Please help me on this.

I would like to know the migration/upgrade path for XI 3.1 (on Linux) to BO 4.1 (on Windows).

May you share about the procedure overview for this? the tools involved?

 

3.1 to 3.1 and then upgrade?

Anything should be considered carefully, such as SSO already implemented? And how about the component of Data Service?

Custom Reports / BW Implementation

Dear Experts,

 

 

I was asked by my boss to prepare few custom reports (eg: COGS, Allocate cost, PA..etc..) to show the management before the SAP BW Implementation. Since am new i am not sure How to go about it and also please break down the BW implementation process for me. ( I have read most of the BW Implementation docs from different forums (ASAP..) please provide details that even not so smart person can understand. Having theoretical knowledge alone does not help so please provide screen shots as well, if you have.

User deleted report

HI I had short cut reports for users based off one folder.

User has deleted by mistake the reports of this folder. Now all shortcuts of this also gone.

 

Is deleted such reports held maybe in some trash folder by any chance?

 

We dont have much of backup at this time.

On-Demand Subreport Requires Database Logon

Hi,

 

I have read all the posts regarding this topic on the forums and have tried the solutions, to no avail.

 

I have a report with a subreport.  Both are pointing to the same Oracle server temp_table and stored procedure.

 

As of last week, this report ran fine in BI Launchpad and Central Management Console.

 

Now, when the report is run with the Database Configuration setup to "Use same database logon as when report is run", even though the main report and subreport point to the same table, the subreport is empty.

 

When I change the option of "When viewing and scheduling report" to "Prompt the user for database logon (viewing only)", I am able to go through the process of running the report, logging on for the subreport and getting data in both main and subreport.

 

Again, I have set and reset the database location and verified it.  The only change I've made to the report in the last week is adding a "no data found" message that looks for a field to be null, then display the message.

 

I am using SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 5 Patch 2 (Version 14.1.5.1568).

 

I am using Crystal Reports 2013 Support Pack 5 Path 2 (Version 14.1.5.1568).

 

What am I missing?
