Lumira server for BI Platform on CMS Clustered Environment
Hello Experts,
We are on BI 4.1 SP5 Patch 7 platform. Currently we have CMS cluster environment over 2 nodes.
Now we are planning to "Lumira server for BI Platform installation 1.28 version". Please clarify below points
1. Can we install the Lumira Server directly in PRD server which is CMS clustered over 2 nodes or do we need to install in DEV & QA box first just like other SAP products.
2. Kindly provide a high level steps to perform the installation over CMS clustered environment.

Incorrect date format in webI charts with English(UK) as preferred viewing locale.
Hello Experts ,
We have recently upgraded to BI 4.1 SP6 with BW upgraded to 7.4 from 7.0 .
We have tested that the following steps ensure Date format appears in dd/mm/yyyy for our customers based out of UK .
- When working in BI Launchpad -> Preferences -> Locale and Time Zone
-> Preferred Viewing Locale -> set it to "English (United Kingdom)"
now log out and log in again and test the behaviour.
- When using In Rich Client -> Open the report -> Properties ->
Application -> Locale -> set Preferred Viewing Locale to "English
(United Kingdom)" and check the second radio button "Use the preferred
viewing locale to format the data".
Close and re-open WRC completely.
This has ensured data is appearing as dd/mm/yyyy for universe based reports /BEx based reports and even for webI formulas .
But the date is not appearing correctly in dd/mm/yyyy when we are using them in charts .
Would like to have opinion from experts what we are missing here

Error FWM 02127 when generating a certificate for SAP HANA Authentication
Hi All,
I'm trying to configure SAML SSO from SAP BO to SAP HANA and has completed the SAP HANA part. However, when I try to generate certificate for SAP HANA in SAP BO CMC, I get the following error:
Failed to generate the certificate due to: A random object must be specified for RSAKeyPairs.. (FWM 02127)
I get this error while doing the following, CMC >> Applications >> HANA Authentication. Add the hostname, port and unique ID. When I click on GENERATE, I get that error.
Has anyone seen this error before or has an idea on how to solve this? If yes, can you please share how to solve this? Thanks a lot.

schedule report to file system as destination, job success, but no file in the destination

I have a crystal report on BI launch pad, I want to schedule this report to destination file system which have access to read and write, the job went to sucess, but there's no file found in the destination file system location.

SAP BO Publication LOG-FILE
Hi,
when a publication failed and i open the log-file, i have always the problem that the information in there are really bad.
Can someone tell me, how i can find out which publication instance failed ?
I scheduled the report based on a webi-list with around 2000 recipients and i'm not able to find the failed credentials.
Can i use the ID -> (ID: 7,765,961) to find something (maybe a folder) on windows-level ??

Dynamic Dates in Design Studio
Hi everyone,
I am new to SAP BO Design Studio.I have a start date ,end date,calendar date,current date,and have a from and to date propmts in the report.
I have to show by default 3 months data.I need this to dynamically change the current date and its previous 3 months.After that according to the strt date nd end date that is being selected,chart should get filtered.
How can I achieve this? I have referred How to use arrays for finding trailing months.

Script for setting up ProfileValue for user
Hi SDK gurus,
Environment: Windows 2012 Server, SAP BI 4.1 SP05
Scenario:
We have to assign profile value to group of employees.
Group will be based on employee job code (Fetching Job Code & Employee Number field from Windows AD into CMS)
After adding employees into group, we have to assign their employee number as profile value.
Now this activity should be repeated everyday, as there may be chances of job code change daily.
I have created one group. And looking for below process in code.
1. Remove profile values (only Employee number, as there may be more profile value assigned to user) of all employee belongs to the group
2. Remove all users from the group
3. Add users in the group based on their job code
4. Assign Employee Number as profile value to user.
I already developed code for first 3 points. But stuck at 4rth.
I am not able to change Value Type of profile. It should be 2 (Type = Value), but by default it is taking 1, Full Client filter (Type = Filter)
Challenge: Below script is assigning value to user/profile, but whenever we are trying to publish a report, we are getting error. And that is obvious, because we are not setting Profile Value Type "Value" and by default it is taking as FullClient "Filter".

Database Views in IDT tool BI4.1SP6 - Postgres9 - JDBC - Multiconnection
Hello,
I am using IDT tool BI4.1SP6 for Postgres9 to create a multi connection (JDBC).
I have managed to create the connection, which works fine.
in the connection, when I expand to look at the tables available, I can see only Tables not the Views .
I can access the views in Postgres tool.
I have checked, if any filters are on, for viewing Tables and Views.
Has any one experienced this behaviour or am I missing a setting ?
(The same happens for Single Connection).
And in addition, if have a connection to Oracle 11g database, I can see the database views.

Promotion Management Issues with connecting Source sys and promote button
Hi,
Appreciate if any one can advise me on these promotion management issues .
Brief about the system architecture and landscape:
- I am using promotion management form the detestation system.
- This is fresh new servers of SAP BI 4.1 SP06.
- We are using distributed system where with one server for application server another server as web server (tomcat) with webtier.
- Dev and production system are in different network.
- We do no have QA system.
- Issue #1:Creating job in destination system --> Trying to connect source system (Development) with Hostname:6400, Administrator and password. Then I am getting below error.
Resolution Steps taken so far and Questions:
- We already opened port in firewall request. We are able to telent <hostanme of dev> 6400 successfully.
- Tried to login source system using Hostname, cluster name and ip address.
- Tried login CMC in prodcution with hostname and Ip address.
- Do I need to apply SAP note 1628154? I see this note talking about Dev to QA with in the same network, Prod different network and LCA as centralized system. But our Dev and prod are in different network.
- Issue #2:No "Save", "Promote","Schedule" buttons when importing lcmbiar file.

- Resolution Steps taken so far and Questions:
- Exported required objects from Dev system in the format of LCMBIAR file. Then created job by importing LCMBIAR file.
- Now when I tried to promote job the Save, Promote and schedule buttons are not appearing.
- As per SAP note #1941033. I have tried to login CMC in destination system with hostname and IP address rather than cluster name. Also tried to login destination with hostname and ip address during the promote the job.
- We are able to see promote button in the source system (Dev).

I tried different ideas, but nothing has been convincing.

Hi,
I've got around 300 BO reports which go to various email addresses and I need to find out who gets what as a senior manager has just left the business and I need to remove them from the reports.
Is there an easy way of telling me which report goes where or do I have to go through every report.

Graphics BO 4.0: All values 0
Good Morning:
I have a problem working with BI 4.1, for example, I have the following information:
For the month 3 all values are 0. When generating the graphics presents me as follows:
I wanted to know if it is possible for the three month unless the empty circle is drawn, such as in BI version 3 by default when all values are 0 (as seen in the image below).

Issue Running CR on Crystal Server 2013
HI ALL,
We got CR server 2013 very recently & I have CR 2013, The server is up and running , I am able to publish CR report to my CR server. The issue is I cannot refresh the report on the server, meaning I cannot get live data. Attaching the error and setting I am currently using
I went in the Database Configuration and made sure the configuration are correct and up to date , they are correct and Up to date.
To confirm this I ran the report for CR and it worked with same logon credential , also I 'select' query on database with same logon it worked.
Any advice of what I can try?

Apache Tomcat Error 404 Upon accessing BOE CMC
Hello,
We are getting a 404 Resource not found error upon accessing CMC on Apache Tomcat. The CMC was working fine before installing BOE Solution Connection Manager on the BOE IPS Server. If any one has come cross similar error and able to resolve it, I would appreciate it if you can share your findings.

Crystal Report 2008 unable to find SAP BW under Create new connection
Hello Gurus,
I am using Crystal Reports 2008 and would like to connect with SAP BW 7.3 however I am not able to find SAP BW under Create new connections.
surprisingly one of my colleague is able to view SAP BW as source under Database Expert - > Create New Connection.
We are using the same crystal report version and would like to connect the same SAP BW box.
I have checked Environment variable, placed SAPlog.ini file in various locations such as
C:\Windows\saplogon.ini
C:\users\XXX\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common\saplogon.ini
Please advise....
Any assistance is of great help.
