Is there a way to send a status email notification to the person who actually executed the process chain? I know the process chain status can be emailed to a predefined list of user-ids but I want to email the person who manually executed the chain.

I am new to BO 4.1 administration. I am trying to connect tomcat to wily EM which is running in solution manager. I have followed SAP note 1438005 and the blog link A complete guide to setup CA APM Introscope 9 for monitoring SAP BI Platform 4.1 on Windows [PART 2/2] but I am unable to get success. There is no logs generated at E:\usr\sap\CCMS\wily\logs location even I defined like the below
in the tomcat properties file. I have defined JVM parameters as well and restarted, still it is not generation logs or connecting to wily...already exhausted with lot of modifications in properties file and restarting the tomcat 
... Please help me to complete this...

We are on SAP BI 4.1 SP1 on Win2008 R2.
I need to find out he which job is linked to which jobserverchild.exe PID
at the OS level.
I found the KB "1656362 - How can we check which specific report is
processed by the particular "jobserverchild.exe"in BOE XI 3.1?" but
this is for XI 3.1 only and does not seem to work for BI 4.1. I am not able to find the details in the logs.
Is there there something similar for BI 4.1.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I am a Business Objects Admin and would want to understand how to identify which WebI Processing Server has processed a scheduled webi report?
If a user schedules a Webi report, from the history details of the report shows which Job Server has processed the job; but does not indicate which WebI Report Server has processed?
Is there a way to identify this? Please assist.

I am working on a new BOE installation with version 4.1 SP6. There are 2 nodes in the cluster.
I am trying to clone the vanilla APS. On the "clone to server" drop down list, only one of the nodes shows up. It does not matter which node I logon to. Now after I clone the APS on the "fixed node" and I clone the "cloned APS", I can select the node in some cloned APS but not on the other. That leaves me scratching my head. Are you aware of any fix for this issue.

I'm trying to install Business Objects 4.1 SP06 and at the end of the installation i receive the message that the installation encountered errors.
When checking the CCM no SIA is available and I don't have the service in Services.
When i check in the setupengine.log i see the following errors :
No suitable enterprise nodes could be found (FWM 23066)
ERROR: Could not reach CMS 'IICTYISAWB002:6400'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)
What is strange that the ODBC that I created for the connection to the database is working well.
My server : Windows Server 2012 R2
Database : SQL Server
Can someone help me with this problem ?

We are running the following code in our .NET application to get a serialized session:
SessionMgr session_mgr = new SessionMgr();
EnterpriseSession session = session_mgr.Logon(userName, password, server, auth);
string session_str = session.SerializedSession;
string SessionURL = HttpUtility.UrlEncode(session_str);
The serialized session that comes back is 4134 characters long before URL encoding, and over 5000 characters long after URL encoding. The plan was to use the serialized session in an OpenDoc URL like so:
OpenDocURL += "?serSes=" + SessionURL ;
Obviously, a 5000+ char encoded session is not going to work in a URL. Suggestions anyone?
We have a clustered environment, 2 web servers and 2 app servers. I'd like to be able to query the audit tables to identify which users are authenticating to which web server.
Use case: User_ABC has been having problems all day in Webi, I'd like to query the audit data to see if User_ABC has been on Web Server 1 / App Server 1 all day, or if it's been a mixture. If this user has been on Web Server 1 all day, are there other users who were on Web Server 1 this day? Then I can potentially contact the other users on that server and see if they have been experiencing similar issues as User_ABC.

I have configured LDAP with Business Objects. As a part of configuration I also imported additional/extended user attributes ( Country). Using SAP Note - 1880091.
I need to know how I can create Business Objects Users group based on extended attributes ( for example Country).
So i would have all country specific users in one group in business Objects.
Please help.

A new SAP BI Platform 4.1 SP5 Development environment has been stood up on a Linux Server. We noticed the Crystal Report Sample Reports do not refresh. Instead, it keeps prompting for a Database Logon Credential each time I hit the Refresh button.
The Symptom:
How can I be able to refresh a CR sample report without getting a prompt message to input Database Logon information?

We have business objects 4 sp4..and i have done the required configuration to send an email..in the destination of Adaptive job server. I have maintained all the domain,port and the exchange IP but when iam sending any report to any email its not working..I am not recieving any email.
Also I have business objects 3.1 where i have done the same conifg and its working fine I am able send the reports from there..
Do we have to maintain any thing specific in Busines objects 4.0 SP4 ..? Or where can i check the logs..?

Hey all,
Struggling a bit with a customer requirement for a "road map" type chart. See attachment for customer mockup. To keep this short, there's a source system (left hand of chart), target system (region color on right) and a date of transition between the two (migration date which the X Axis and value within the bar).
The data would look something like this (in simplest form, with some other supporting attributes)

and so on...
Having a difficult time getting the time dimension and label onto the chart, as we aren't dealing with measures here. I've also tried converting the MigrationDate to a "days between" value of 2 dates (beginning of year and the migration date) so I'd get something like 365, but then I lose the date dimension and get number of days in the X axis. There will also be some supporting data around the data set which will need to be selected on in order to to present a subset of the information. I've tried other tools (Dashboards, Crystal) but I run into a similar issue. I think the tools are struggling with the fact that the date isn't a measure and the multiple dimensions of data.
The next step I was going to take was to try to create a static timeline at the bottom, maybe with an input control adjustable "Start Date" - this may allow me to create static labels below the chart based on the days between measure. Not sure if that may be simpler by overlaying 2 charts, but that's never a good solution either.
Trying to think a bit outside the box on how to accomplish this or something similar...any insights? Not sure if custom javascript charts would be an option...would probably need something exactly like this that fits the bill. Don't think we have the correct resources to create our own.
Or maybe another visualization of the same data....

We are exporting Webi Reports using scheduler as a Excel Documents. By default for all the exported files it is generating the Authors as a SERVER. We want to change the Authors Name.

Hello All,
We have successfully implemented WIn AD SSO on SAP BO 41 SP5 but after configuring keytab file; WinAD SSO is not working successfully.
We have followed following procedure:
1. Generated keytab file and placed it in c:\windows of BO Server
2. Stopped tomcat
3. Added following line in global.properties
idm.keytab=C:/WINDOWS/bosso.keytab
4. Removed wedgetail line from java options in tomcat configuration.
5. Restarted tomcat
After this only we are not able to find 'credentials obtained' in stderr file in tomcat logs.
We have special characters like %,@,^ etc. in our service account's password.
When we tested with kinit command it says pre authentication failed and gives the attached error message.
We could also see that, some blogs says remove the special characters from service account password but same has not any valid SAP note, so our infra team is reluctant to do so.
