Is it possible yet to use the HANA Runtime for Applications license (Included with BI Suite) to run the BIP CMS?
I know its embedded in the Lumira BIP add-on, but didn't know if we can use this for CMS, or if that's coming in a later release?

Crystal CMC / BI Suite Cannot Connect - BUSINESS CRITICAL
Crystal CMC / Business Intelligence server -- Server Down. Error messages in the Event Viewer indicate that Crystal SQL database is an invalid version, users unable to connect to InfoView.
We have rebooted the server itself as well as stopped and started ALL SQL services and the BI Suite Service.
This is a Business Critical issue.

I found this snazzy document on Knowledge Accelerator, but sorry, what exactly is this used for ? Does it have training modules already in it ? We use Adobe Captivate, is it like that ?

Need guidance upgrading to the latest service pack
Hi,
My organization is currently using Business Objects 4.1 SP1. I am interesting in applying the latest service pack SP7 but I have a few questions. Are the service packs cumulative or do I need to apply SP2, SP3 etc. Also when I view the downloads avaialbe for my company I am confused by the file names, for example the list for SP7 includes SBPO Business Objects BO Platform Servers and SAP Business Object BI Platform Servers. Which file do I use to update?

SAP and VBA
I am wondering if it is possible to query the web intelligence database via Excel VBA. I will have to run a report regularly and would rather have excel prompt me for parameters, then use an API or some other avenue to retrieve data without having to interact directly with the SAP platform.
I have looked for some other forums postings that relate to this, but none of them have been answered so I figured I would repost.

AD SSO and SSO to BW running slow
Hi All,
I have setup a fresh BI4.1 SP5 environment on windows and I am facing some performance issues.
1)The AD SSO to BILaunchpad (cross domain) takes around 18 seconds the first time and 9-10 seconds on successive logins.
2) The prompt screen of reports (Analysis for Office) takes around 20 seconds to display after starting the report from BO (accessing data in BW).
Note: APS has been spilt
Any suggestions here to improve the performance?

BI 4.1 Jobserver configuration in multi tenant environment
I have a 4.1 SP6+patch4 installation with 3 tenant.
I would like to make that each user uses theyr own Jobserver.
I create a Server Group for each tenant and assign permission in order to restrict access to servers.
I put a job server in each Group.
When i try to schedule a report or a pubblications BO ignore this setting and use the Always the first job server available.
How can i manage this need?

temp files
Hello,
I am running Business Objects 4.1 and have found about 50GB of what looks to be old temp session files at
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\java\pjs\container\temp
Most end with a .jar.
From what I read in other posts these are old session files that some how got left behind. I am wondering can I delete them? or do I need to do something first?

Two Production servers have same licence keys in BO 3.1 Edge
Hi,
In my client place, have two BO production servers (A and B ) containing the same license keys.
Production server A :- contains folders, more crystal reports and few webi reports
Production Server B :- contains folders and more webi, less crystal reports and these folders are different from Production Server A.
Production A has two license keys which are same as that of production B license keys.
Production A uses different link than production B for CMC & Infoview.
I find only one node in both CMC-Servers of production A and production B. So, what I mean is that there is no clustering.
Prodction server A has 4 (A1,A2,A3,A4) access level and Prodction server B (B1,B2,B3) has 3 access levels.
But sometimes, I see Production server A has 3 (B1,B2,B3) access level and Production server B has 4 access levels(A1,A2,A3,A4) .
Why this is behaviour?
Also, why Production servers have same licence keys --?

SAP .Net Connector 3.0 assembly could not be loaded
Hi experts,
I created a simple asp.net application to read table data from ecc back end, the dll i used are sapnco 64 bit and sapnco_utils 64 bit, now when i try to run the application, I am gettin a server error : Could not load file or assembly 'sapnco' or one of its dependencies An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

SI_UPDATE_TS versus SI_LASTLOGONTIME
We are on BI 4.1 SP6.
And by using Query Builder we have seen that it is the field SI_UPDATE_TS which is containing the date & time the user last logged in into the environment. And not the field SI_LASTLOGONTIME. Which looks a bit strange.
I searched on SAP-Notes and on SCN and saw several entries on this, but they were all for XI 3.1
Has somebody experience with this ? And/or, can somebody from SAP put some light on this ?

Incorrect log on parameters error when scheduling publication

We recently migrated publications containing Crystal Reports using UMT from BO 3.1 to BO 4.1
Whats strange is that in BO 3.1 our publications containing crystal reports worked perfectly however we now recieve the following error message:

Please note:
The report uses two different universes.
Other publications containing reports other than Crystal Reports schedual perfectly fine.
This issue is effecting all users including the administrator.

I'm trying to add my 2 web applications (SAP Tomcat 7.0 installs) to my servers list in my landscape under Landscape Configuration.
I cannot get either of my 2 web servers added to the landscape.
In the HostAgent Settings, I add the password per the documentation and try to click Validate.
I've verified in services.msc that both of the host service agents are running on both of the web servers.
Any suggestions for troubleshooting this?

schedule report with event refresh on open
Hi,
I am trying to run a webi report from opendocfrom another server. The requirement is as soon as we open the report, the report should be scheduled at a particular location on pdf format with the prompt values passed in opendoc.
