IDT displaying incorrect publishing date and time
Hi there,
I'm seeing a discrepancy in Information Design Tool. I'm using BI 4 sp 6 for server and client tools. IDT version is: 14.0.6
Not sure why the last publishing date keeps on updating automatically for the unx universes. See below image, I'm displaying the Repository Resources section of the IDT, there is a universe named "Sales And Margin Analysis (COPA).unx" - this universe WASNT published on Jul 10, 2014. But BO is displaying that it was last published on Jul 10.
So to confirm I used query builder to check if this universe has really been published on Jul 10th. I wrote the following query:
SELECT SI_ID,SI_NAME,SI_SPECIFIC_KIND, SI_KIND,SI_SL_UPDATE_TS FROM CI_APPOBJECTS WHERE SI_KIND= 'DSL.MetaDataFile'
And it returns:
If you notice the SI_SL_UPDATE_TS date and time, it matches perfectly to when it was updated.
So my question is why is IDT displaying incorrect publishing date and time ?

Hi,
I read couple of blogs and Benchmark notes for identifying the Machine SAPS for our server which runs on a VMware. I want to know how much will be the Machine SAPS ? Is there any other way apart from contacting the hardware vendor can we get this number ?Please advice.

Change E-mail for system user BWREMOTE
Dear All,
How can i change the E-mail for system user BWREMOTE, i tried in SU01 email field is empty in communication tab, checked in BW and ECC no details were maintained. Currently this user is able to send emails, would like to change the email address to this user.

I can't find the menu. In Bobj commonly in organize - delete.

Want to make fiscal quarters from fiscal periods in Info design tools
Dear Gurus:
I have new reporting requirement for fiscal quarters, currently I have fiscal periods and fiscal years in my business layers. I have two questions from you guys.
1) Which is the better way to achieve this. Should I try to make it in IDT or Should we make it in BW and then load data again. Also if there is an impact on performance choosing any of the options.
2) If I made it IDT how should I achieve this, considering I need prompt on fiscal quarters dimension.

KERNELBASE.DLL ERROR in BO SYSTEM
Hi,
Our BO system version is 3.1 SP6 Patch 1 and our operating system is Windows Server Enterprise 2008 R2 SP1.
When we look at the Windows Logs from Event Viewer, we see KERNELBASE.dll errors related with BO.
After KERNELBASE.dll error, Some Webi Processing Servers stop. For example, we get error message; WebIntelligenceProcessingServer10 stopped with exit code = 255 (0xff).
Have you ever encountered with KERNELBASE.dll error?
What is the solution to prevent KERNELBASE.dll error?

Alias names are missing while assigning to user
Hello Experts,
I am facing one problem in my BOBJ system frequently. During user creation via CMC console of our BOBJ system, we used to assign alias name. So, while assigning alias names, sometime it shows list of available alias names and sometimes it disapeears. And after sometimes , it is visible again in list. We are not able to understand what is causing this condition in our system.

RGB combination of the background color for cells is not carried to excel
Hi SCN ,
In Web-I , we came across a problem that the RGB combination for the cells in the table header is not being carried to the exported excel .
We used the RGB combination ( 123,123,123 ) to fill the cells but the exported excel got the RGB combination (128,128,128).
Is there any KBA or SAP note for the same ??
Environment details : SAP BO 4.0 SP4

print to printer
In CR designer i have set a default printer
File --> Page Setup --> Printer options [ xyz printer ]
when user is trying to view the report the report output is not directly going to the printer i selected in the report designer.
When i checked the report history and latest instance detail shows Printer : none
how to overcome this problem ?

crystal reports server report view
I have done the following
a) Installed crystal reports server on a Windows 2008 server
b) installed crystal reports software on a PC to design a report
c) saved the report using the enterprise option on the enterprise option...this saved the report on the Windows 2008 server
d) I used the Central Management Console and logged on to the server
next I went to the folders and saw the folder containing the report and then right clicked on the report and used the view option to view the report

How do I give a url to a user to view this report along with a refresh option so that user can see the report and also be able to see the changes if any ?

BI 4.1 CMC -- User or group properties are not visible
Dear All,
I have installed bi 4.1 SP3 recently. I have logged into CMC with administrator account.
when selected the user administrator and right click on the user i can see only the "New" option.
i could not able to see any properties like join group,Add member to group,member of,profilevalues,user security,properties,tools..etc as like in BO 3.1.
i have the same issue for the groups also.
similarly i could not able to right click on any of the applications like BI launchpad,IDT,UDT..etc.
I could not able to trace this whether it is license issue or issue with java version.
Can some one help me out to solve this issue.

Hi,
we are calling a OpenDocument Link from Webdynpro (ABAP).
Is there any possibility to skip the user and password promt on BO server without implementing SSO for Windows account?
Are there any opportunities to get the create a session from ABAP? Maybe with RESTful web services?
Any suggestions are welcome?

connection to the server could not be established(MOB06031)
Hii,
I am trying to login into BO 4.0 from Mobile IPAD but it is throwing me error 'Connection to the server Could not be established(MOB06031)'
I already try with admin ID and its working properly ,this issue occur for group of users which are not in administrator group ,I already try with full Control right to user in SAP BUSINESS OBJECTS MOBILE PLATFORM application in CMC but same issue occur
