What off-the-shelf BusinessObjects capabilities are possible within the Enterprise Portal without undergoing a full integration?
As of now, we offer a simple URL iView pointing to the BusinessObjects VIP. Instead of forcing all users to navigate to their respective report through the BO GUI (5 clicks), it would be nice to offer our executive end-users reports and dashboards in the content area immediately after selecting the BO_Exec tab for example. Furthermore, offering additional report links in the navigation panel would be nice.
Is there a quick and easy way to demo this? From initial testing, it doesn't seem possible to configure URL iViews to hit the reports directly as the URLs seem to be session specific.
If not, we may have to fully integrate BO with the Portal using an Integration Kit. Has anyone done an integration between BI4.1 and NW EP 7.31 (specifically SP11 patch level 9)?
Lastly, this is my first foray into the BO world. Feel free to correct my vernacular.
