Preserve CUID while importing Business Views

Hi,

I am trying to import the Business Views from one environment to another.

Steps followed :

1) Exported the BV as XML from source env

2) Imported the BV in destination env , preserving the CUID. Got an error here saying the CUID exists, so checked on 'Overwrite CUID'.

My question here is , what exactly happens when Overwrite CUID is checked, still the cuid will remain the same as in source env right?
