I would like to review the audit process described in https://support.sap.com/keys-systems-installations/Measurement/BusinessObjects-Measurement.html
It describes the audit process using the LMBI tool.
The document says that Chapter 4.2 of the Business Intelligence Platform Administrator Guide describes the use of the BusinessObjects License Measurement Tool (BOLMT , SAP Note 1733350 - How to run a license audit in BI4.0 ). However, the results generated by the current BOLMT can NOT be used for license audits and shall not be loaded into LMBI or LAW. So this Note cannot be used.
Moreover it asserts:
The LMBI is shipped with measurement components and a consolidation component. The consolidation component is a stand-alone tool to calculate the number of required licenses. Therefore it requires contractual information to evaluate the measurements. This information is provided with each license audit request in form of a customer specific contract file. Without such a file, no result can be calculated.
My understandig is that both the software LMBI and the customer contract file are provided by SAP when starting the audit, and cannot be simply downloaded.
Is there anyone who had experience of the BO audit process and can describe how exactly it works?
