The environment we have is Edge - BO 4.0 SP04(FP3) - windows AD authentication - CAL licensing(20)
With a non-administrator login had issues with migrating reports/ universes, hence following SAP note 1754247 I am currently using only Administrator for LCM jobs.
The issue I face is with sessions being retained after using LCM. When I try to move contents using LCM from Dev to LCMbiar to QA using Administrator login, atleast 4 sessions are created for each job. When multiple jobs are executed, the session count reaches 20 and any user trying to login to BI launch pad gets an error that the licenses are used up.
Workaround used Currently:
1. SAP suggested using temporary license NUL for Administrator login (this known bug is resolved in BO 4.1 (note 1762436))
---currently made the change only for dev region
2. Or I have to restart the CMS to release the sessions
Please suggest if there is an alternate way to release the LCM sessions that remains active (irrespective of timeout). The other sessions from BI launch pad/ CMC gets released automatically after timeout.
