Business Objects Audit Database storage Limit

Hi All,

We are using SAP BusinessObjects enterprise XI from 2011, and we are going to upgrade the version to 4.1.

Now when we preparing the inventory list of reports universes etc., we came to know that in the audit base we are having only last 6 months data.

We went and took backup of last years audit database data, even then we found that we are having only last 6 months data.

Is there any default setting in the CMC to store only last 6 months audit data by defaultly along with installation.

Please let us know if there is a way to retrieve the lost data. or is Audit databases of SAP will store only last 6 months data ???

please let us if is there any setting in CMC or some where we have to do to store all the audit data from the beginning as we are going to upgrade the version to BI 4.1.
