We recently patched Business Objects to 4.0 SP06, this patch affected/broke some of our variables that were created by developers.
The variables were easy to fix, however our structure is set up with a master reports folder where our end-users cannot save reports in the master reports folder but can design their own reports off of our master reports and save them into their favorites folder or into their divisional folder.
This being the case we have many reports in the lower levels that have broken variables.
I am wondering if there is a solution for this issue or if any one else has had a similar issue and how they have dealt with it.
Is there a better solution than having our developers going in to every lower level report to fix the variables there?
