We have the following environment
Server Side
O/S: Windows 2012 R2
SAP BI Platform Version: 4.1 SP5 FP5
Client Side
O/S: Windows 7 x64 SP1
SAP BO XI Client Tools Version: 3.1 SP6 FP4
SAP BI Client Tools Version: 4.1 SP5 FP1
We have followed the instructions described in Desktop Intelligence Compatibility Pack (DCP): Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to utilize DCP feature (installation sequence etc). Ater we have updated BI Client Tools version to 4.1 SP5 FP5, we manage to connect via DeskI client but when we try to import a document from the repository we get the following error.

We have tried to:
1.) Delete lsi files from both
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Business Objects\Business Objects 12.0\lsi
&
C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\lsi
2.) Delete registry keys from
HKEY-CURRENT-USER > Software > SAP BusinessObjects > Suite XI 4.0 > default > BusinessObjects > <User_Name> User Prefs
In all cases we received the same behavior and error as the one mentioned above. The only workaround that worked for us was to use the repo_proxy.dll (version 14.1.5.1533 ) provided with 4.1 SP5 FP1 client tools. This is a temporary solution and until we identify the root cause behind this incident.
Has anyone else met this issue before? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
