B04 - Output cache directory property of webi processing servers + registry

Hi,

We are looking to set  a shared cache area for use by our 4 webi processing servers (2 on each node).

Using bo4 sp6 on 2 node windows 2008 cluster.

We already have a share set up for the Filesstore

\\machine_name\folder_name\Filestore

Considering just adding extra folder e.g cache

then changing our output cache directory property to

\\machine_name\folder_name\cache

Couple of qusetions I have

1)  Assume no problem the cache folder sharing same root area as the Filestore folder as per above

Is this correct?

2)  We have already changed the registry entry for tempfiles to get below the 260 character limit.

     as cache currently c:\bocache on each node

     Do we need to change the registry on each node to set the tempfiles key to the new unc path or is it sufficient to change the output cache area in the cmc and bo will pick from here rather than the registry ?
