Hi,
I am trying to install SBOP BI Platform 4.1 SP06 server with HANA 1.96 on SUSE 11 Sp3 Linux server. I have HANA server installed and running but trying to install SBOP BI Platform 4.1 SP06 server and receive the following error.
Failed: Operating system patch level (Critical)
Information: [CheckPatchLevelFailReason]
I found this error in the setupengine.log file
09:05:45.278 StringRef: #Failure.Because.OdbcIni.Not.Writable#
09:05:45.282 | Property: _$OdbcIniNotWritableMsg = The installation cannot proceed. The installation program cannot write to the ODBC system information file that has been defined in your environment: /home/bipadm/.odbc.ini. To connect to the bundled database, the installation program needs to write DSN entries to this file. INS00340
I have gone over the install guide several times and cannot find anything I missed. I also install the HANA client under the <sid>adm user that is being used to install BI platform server. Is the problem with the ODBC connection and/or do I need to patch the OS? If it is the OS how to I figure out what needs to be patched and to what level?
The full log files are attached to the is message. I would open these files with WordPad or Notepad++ for correct formatting.
