Interesting one which I've just been made aware of; I've had one of my clients contact me today to advise that he had accidentally deleted a user from his BI4.0 platform, ordinarily this wouldnt be so much of a strange thing, however in this case, he was able to delete the user he was logged in with....
The user is part of the Administrators group (Although, not the actual Administrator account).
I've replicated this in BI4.0 SP07 and BI4.1.
Logged onto CMC as Administrator
Created User "TestAdmin"
Added "TestAdmin" to the Adminstrators group
Logged onto CMC as "TestAdmin"
Right clicked the "TestAdmin" account and selected Delete
Logged Out
When logging back in using "TestAdmin" I am informed that the user account does not exist, once logged back on as Administrator, I can confirm the account has definitely gone.
I've been advised that this has not been identified as a bug, but surely allowing the user that's logged in to be able to delete themselves is a product defect is it not?
Does anyone know if this will be fixed in future enhancements?
Any responses from SAP personnel would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Ian
