BOXI 3.1 SP3 - How do we really trace a https certificate creation server from a https certificate?

Hi All,

Good evening and greetings. Returning after a longtime to the BO server activity.

I now have got an interesting issue with me with one of the clients on BO XI 3.1SP3 build for their BO servers which is on a cluster which has 2 tomcat servers. We understand that the installation of BO was done for the client by SAP a few years back (may be way back in 2009). But they do not seem to have any documentation with them. May be the concerned individuals have left the organisation.

They have access to bo through https : bireporting.xxxxx.com

The access is only through internal network through VDT.

Suddenly we received a system mail asking whether we have to renew this https certificate expiring by 2 weeks.

We tried to look at all the server.xml files and other files and I do not see any entries for SSL.

the link is pinging to some Virtual IP which is finally saying that the original server is of tomcat and listening at both 443 & 80.

But I dont see any entries for 443 or 80 on the BO files on the BO side.

BUT when i say http:bireport.xxxx.com, it redirects to https link.

How is this 443 and 80 GETTING enforced through a virtual server is not understandable.

I have gone round and did whole lot of search BUT and am unable to find how this https is getting enforced and where is the certificate request.

CAn anyone help me to find from the https certificate - as to how to find - as to which server, on which the request has been created.

Because in my opinion the renewal has to be done on the same server ???

And fiddler am unable to run due to restrictions on client side.  And without this information I do not know how to go further.  The network team has only said the virtual IP is pointing to real servers of tomcat 1 & tomcat 2 servers IP addresses. And they have said that https is not enforced through firewall or through any load balancer.

Desperately need help.

Many thanks

Indu
