When using the semantic layer java sdk with a 64bit JRE we get problems with accessing connections and universe business layers with connections that use ODBC or OLEDB.
The problems do not occur in a 32bit JRE.
We understand that the BOXI R4 client tools are 32 bit and that it is a bit tricky to specify odbc connections in Windows 2008R2 for the 32 bit site.
What we do not understand is why the Semantic Layer java SDK is having the problems.
Can you please comment.
Are there additional information available for using the SL java SDK in a 64bit JRE?
