I just update our servers from BusinessObjects XI 3.1 SP3 FP5 to BusinessObjects XI 3.1 SP6 FP 6.2 and I have some problem to transfer crystal reports between our development and test servers..
I export our crystal reports in .biar files with the import wizard on our development server and then I copy the file on the test server and try to import it on our test server with the import wizard. There is no problem during the import, but some special characters (§d;) (hex : C2 A7 64 3B) appear at the end of each line of the properties of the reports and in the "Record Selection" formula displayed in the CMS (report properties -> Schedule -> filters).
The record selection formula is correct in crystal report, but I can't execute the report on the RAS server, because the special characters cause this error: cause:com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKServerException: The remaining text does not appear to be part of the formula.
I extracted the content of the biar file and I noticed that the content of the BusinessObjects.xml is wrong in the elements <io:Description> and <cr:RecordFormula>.
It looks like a problem of encoding, but I can't find any solution for the moment.
