I need your help on that one. I succeed to upgrade to BI Platform 4.1 SP2 from 4.0 SP7 on a 2008 server. That was an inplace upgrade. I wanted to upgrade the server and got a FWM 20030 so I was not able to connect to CMS while connecting from CMC. In the servers list I only the Apache 7 and not the Server INtelligent Agent as I used to see in the 2008 server. I did install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security prior to the 2012 migration read (1925761). We were able to ping the server. I know that the IP adress was a new one and firewall were verified and not blocking the ports.
Do you have any recommendation for troubleshoot that problem? In the mean time I went back to 2008.
My other question: Are you aware of any not supported functions on the 2008 server for Bi Platform 4.1? Should I stay on that version and avoid problems in 2012 version? What do you think?
