Hello,
We want to access BI LaunchPad either from an SAP EP Portal or directly from the BI launchpad URL (on the tomcat appl server)
The EP Portal uses SAP BW as identity provider to make the SSO to LaunchPad
The direct connection to the the tomcat should use an SSO AD connection
If we set SAP as primary authentication for LaunchPad then SSO AD doesn't work (and vice versa)
What can we do ? (hope i am clear :-) )

Banging my head against a brick wall on this one!
We have many user accounts. A report is scheduled on behalf of a group that contains all the accounts. This is to ensure that users only view their own instances (universe security takes care of the security).
We need to allow some users to view the instances of other users. I've tried giving them full access to the other user's account, but still no instances.
Is there a way to allow this? Using BI 4.1.

The tool provides valuable information, and it would be even better if we could have the information of the access level used when running the Security Analyzer for users or groups.

Dear Community, I think SAP Geocoder can be a great benefit, to help take data in one format (address) and convert to another (Latitude / Longitude) to enable visualization in SAP tools like Lumira and Design Studio - which need lat/long to create visualizations.

Hello everyone,
I'm here again with a really big mistake that is breaking my head.
I created a universe with an excel file. All is fine. I created everything (Connection, Secured Connection, Data Foundation and Empresarial Layer) and saved it in the universe folder on the repository. When i tried create a Webi report with a universe the following message appears:
"Universe does not exist or your security profile does not allow you to access it."
I give all the necessary rights to certain groups, created a Bussiness Security profile with two groups and didn't works. I used the Administrator user too and the results was the same. Additionally, I leave the screens of selectedpermissions.
Can you provide me some guideliness or instruction to clarify my doubts?

I am aware about the issue caused due to long password caused due to frequent refreshing of LDAP configuration in BI4.1 systems.
I just want to know how to delete these passwords so that as per LDAP config in BI4.1 CMC, they will be reloaded from LDAP server and would have a smaller length.
For others issue occurs when we login to CMC>Authentication>LDAP
Following error is presented:

Now the requirement is that , Few reports always run with the latest month. other reports should ask for the prompt values. Can you please suggest which is the best way it can be done.
I am not allowed to use default value for the prompt. currently Using UDT in BI 4.1 and oracle database.

I am converting a linked universe from UNV to UNX. As per Info given in Wiki, the conversion of a derived universe will automatically convert the core universe. Now I have the follwoing queries
1) After successful conversion of my derived universe into unx, I am not able to find the core_universe.unx file in the repository. My expectation is as follows; there should be at least two universes DERVIED_UNIVERSE.UNX and CORE_UNIVERSE.UNX. Is this correct ?
2) If the answer to question 1) is no, then I would expect that the core and derived universes are packed into one UNIVERSE.UNX and the number of objects from core and derived universe will add up to the total number of objects in the converted unx universe.
Please check the number of obejcts and tables in the attatched pic from my unv and unx universes. The total number of objects as well as tables do not add up. Can this be explained ?

Trying to schedule a report to a ftp server but getting message
exception raised: java.lang.Exception
In properties putting in name of ftp server and username and password of ftp server.
What should we put in the account and directory parts?
The ftp server concerned in the company network and can ping hostname from the bo server.
Tried putting in pathname of ftpserver when login with the particular usernamd and pwd provided.
How can we schedule to ftp server successfully?

The BI4.1 Javadocs for IProperty contain a number of static constant values for the various property flags. But it appears to be incomplete -- there are a bunch of flag values that I see in properties that are not documented.
I've been able to determine that flag 268435456 indicates a Date property, but there are other values that I can't figure out: 524288, 131072, and a few others.
Are the complete property flag values documented anywhere?

How come I couldn't find BI4.1 SP5 Client tools with 64bit on Service marketplace, there is only 32bit client tools. Is there no 64bit client tools software?
And Lumira doesn't seem to accept the 32 bit IDT/UDT client tools. I get a 'microsoft odbc manager data source name not found and no default driver specified' message when I used 32 bit DSN SQL server db used in IDT for UNX/UNV for Lumira. And if I used 64bit DSN to setup the IDT relational connection to SQL server db I get 'architecture mismatch error' and connection fails.
Not sure what I need to be doing, please provide any inputs
