I want to extract data from 2lis_11_vaitm,2lis_11_vahdr,2lis_13_vditm,2lis_13_vdhdr.....i want to load data first to DSO then from DSO to Infocube....I am getting confuse which DSO and Infocube should i use..SAP Defined DSO and SAP Defined Cube or Customize DSO and Customize Infocube then in which SAP Define DSO and SAP Define Cube should i load data?....If i use custom define Cube and custom DSO then why custome why not SAP Define DSO and Cube?

Change email server on job server
We need to change the address of the exchange server we are using for our bi platform 4.1 install.
if i log in to the CMC and --> go to servers and right click on either of the two adaptive job servers --> select destinations --> e-mail --> change the server and the e-mail/password i can schedule new jobs and they will e-mail succesfully but any of the previously scheduled jobs don't seem to run (they give an smtp error). Is this expected? Is there a way to change the server without rescheduling jobs?

Hi All,
I have been able to create several publications with dynamic recipient lists created in Crystal Report for Enterprise, but when trying a new one recently I keep getting the error pictured below when loading the CR into the publication. We have been through all of the steps in the "Verify on First Refresh for Crystal Report for Enterprise Explained" PDF instructions and also someone on here recommended the work around of scheduling the report and then it worked for them, but for us this keeps popping up. Any other ideas?

Can't connect to CMC after Dataservices Installation
Hi,
We recently have been tasked to install Data Services on a Solaris. We successfully installed IPS and verified that we could connect to the CMC. We then installed Data Services Versions 4.2. We ran the installation without the configuration. We successfully created a respository database using the bundled SQLAnywhere database. We have also created DSN's for the CMS, Audit and repository databases. We unfortunately can not log into the CMC. We get the following error message in red letters:
"Account information not recognized enterprise authentication could not log you on"

SAP BO 4.1 SP4 installation path change on Windows 2012 R1
Hi all. I have recently installed BI Server 4.1 SP4 on windows 2012. But while installing I picked up default path (C;\Program Files...) instead of using a different custom path. Is there anyway to just move this installation onto a different path (to a different drive ..E )?
My C: drive is configured with less space than my E: Drive and I am supposed to install it in E Drive.
What are my options ?

Rights for personal folder
Hello,
We are on BI 4.1 SP1 on Win 2008 R2.
I have followed follow notes -
1325669 - How to deny access to Personal Folders by using Access Levels in XI3.x
1730987 - How to deny users to create folders in their 'My Favorites' in BI Launchpad.
But no matter what I do, the personal folder always have full right for a user. I use a group in Personal Folder option in CMC to assign the top level security. Then i see that it is inheritated at the user level for that group.
There are so many notes available on the marketplace and nothing is concrete so far for me. I only tried few based on the basic Access Level theory but it is not working so far.
I tried to make even a Access Level with bunch of Deny rights and still it is allowing user to do everything.
I do not know what I am missing.
I have not yet tried the note 1857231 - How to deny the users to Add any local document to their Personal Folders (My Favorites) through BI Launchpad in BI 4.0?, which sounds promosing but need soem help.
Please advice.

passing the params to the email message
HI We have some scheduled reports and would like to pass the parameters of the report in the email message some place.
Such that, the subject might read 'Weekly Sales report ' 11-22-14 - 11-29-14
where 11-22-14 and 11-29-14 are the passed parameters to the report. Rather than having in the subject
'Weekly Sales Report'

LDAP Login via email address.
Hi all,
I'm sorry for the wide distribution, but this is the first time I use Crystal Report Server 2013.
I configured Crystal Report Server 2013 with a ldap authentication (against Lotus Domino). The configuration is working but the customer wants to use, instead of First Name and Surname, the eMail address as login name.
Is it possible?

BI LaunchPad loadbalancer Netscaler problem
Hi, We use Citrix NetScaler to load balance two BO 4.1 SP03 web application servers(tomcat 7). Everything is working fine with respect to fail over and load balancing. But we are having performance problem with load balancer.
The issue is, when we run the report using direct BO web application URL (http://Tomcat1/BOE/BI or http://tomcat2/BOE/BI) report is able to complete and displaying the results in ~10minutes. But if we run the same report for same dates using NetScaler URL (http://loadbalancer/BOE/BI), it's throwing an error "Unable to process your request". Since end users always use frontend URL "loadbalancer", report couldn't able to finish and throwing an error. This is only happening with long run reports. Quick run reports(~5mins) are able to complete.
On NetScaler, we use LB method as "Least Connection" and persistence as "SOURCEIP". There is also time-out under persistence, it is set at 60mins. We are using port 80 on both tomcat servers. Are there any parameters/settings in NetScaler to improve the BI Launch Pad performance? Are there any default settings in NetScaler that we need to tweak to get synchronous with our BO environment?

Sample standalone java code for BO 4.0 to fetch report
Hi Friends
I am new to Business Object world and I am currently working on BO 4.0 .
I searched for sample java code to play with BO 4.0 like to get some report in excel/pdf format by giving report name & server details as parameter.
unfortunately , I didn't find any examples for BO 4.0 . I do see some JSP examples named as BO 4.0 examples but upon downloading and extracting code i can see BO 3.0 written in readme or in code.So i am totally confused 
.The examples i see online are of BO 3.X version.
I went through developer guide too but still need some hello world kind of program to start with.
Can someone please share some BO 4.0 code ?

Can't we develop a BO Java sdk tool in a local machine which does not have BO installed in it?
Hi all,
We are currently developing a tool using BO Java SDK. For the past one month we worked in the server in which BO and net beans were installed. We didn't face any issues. This week we have started our development work from a local machine which doesn't have BO by copying the necessary jar files to our local machine. What happen was we are getting the following error and we couldn't rectify it till now.
Could not reach CMS '10.152.140.145'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)
Kindly need some help on this issue.

Security and connection problems
Hi everybody,
I'm using SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 4 Version: 14.1.4.1327
I have granted my user rights as a Business AL for the universe and his specific folder
My user is having a problem using my universe. This is the first time he has entered to use it on the BI Launch Pad.
He has been able to enter the folder and see the reports I have made for him in advance.
He was able to start the Web Intelligence in java form and see the universe, add objects to the "result object" and "query filters" and see the results in the "data preview".
when he clicks "run query" he gets to the see for a slight second that a table was built for his query, but he's immediately thrown out with the following error message:
I've logged on on his computer with my own credentials and didn't have a problem.
What am I missing?

BI 4.1 Excel File
Hi All,
I wold liek to know whetehr the following is possible on BI 4.1
Step: 1 Upload an Excel file to repository from CMC
Step: 2 Open the file from BI BI Launchpad
Step: 3 Add one extra row of data
Step: 4 Save the File
Question is
Will it be saved to reporsitory ? That is, will the files be saved in Input FRS ?
When I open the file next time from BI Launchpad, can I see my last extra row of data updated on the Excel file ?
Can anyone using 4.1 please confirm this ?
