Hi All,
When changing a connection in UDT in BI 4.1 I am receiving a below error.
The connection to the network is not present. (DSG0048). Please see the attachment.
Implemented KB 1182693 but no success. Uninstalled and re-installed BI 4.1, but no success.

I get this error when I modify anything on a report and upload it.
I'm using Crystal Enterprise 10 and Crystal Reports 10 (designer) to modify the reports on my local machine.
I've set the datasources to OLE DB (ADO). It works fine when viewed on the designer but doesn't work right when uploaded.
To add, the code that we have been using works fine and has been used by other people in the team. Its just my machine that has had many installations and uninstalls of Crystal report. Could this be the reason for this issue?
Any ideas where I could check for dlls that shouldn't be there.. This is my first assignment on Crystal reports so please let me know of any checks that need to be done or versions that need to be verified.

I am not able to view graphs created with Design Studio on BI Platform. Is their a missing config, missing security rights, or is Java install required to view these graphics?
While schedule the reports because of the below reason some time report instance are getting fail.is there any solution for that,

We need to create a report that queries a real-time database and automatically refreshes data on an administered schedule, as frequently as every 3 seconds. How can this be done in a Crystal report launched from the Crystal report server?
Also, the report will have at least 2 sub-reports, 1 query for 1 sub-report, 2 queries for the other sub-report.

if you schedule a crystal report and have it delievered as a pdf you can go in and retrieve the old pdfs that were sent out.
is there a way to do this with crystal reports that are sent out as part of a publication?
currently if i look at the history it only shows me a log text file
is the output stored anywhere? is there a way to capture it going forward if not?

After install Crystal Report Server 2011, can not access cntrol tool from web or from application. My server OS is Windows 2008 R2 SP1. I follow the fedault setting. How to fix it?

I have installed IDT and everything is working fine so far.
Now I have a multi-source enabled Connection (JCo) via Data Federator connected to a SAP BW.
Anything I want to do with this connections takes ages. Testing it, building a DF oder a Universe on top of it. From 5 to 15 minutes, everything is possible, no need to mention, idt states not responding in the mean time.
How can I fix this?

I'm trying to read a Sharepoint 2010 list using an OData 2.0 source in SAP BusinessObjects 4.1.
Every time I test the connection I have the same authentication error
A problem occurred while communicating with the provider. Detailed message: Server error: (response: status=401, reason='Unauthorized', request='/myURL/$metadata')
I confirmed that the user name and password are correct, the same for permissions
I made some basic test and I can connect to my OData feed using Excel/PowerPivot and IE for example. Also, I can connect to "sample" OData feeds in SAP BusinessObjects (http://services.odata.org/V3/Northwind/Northwind.svc/)
Any help about it ?

When I click on show values for a "decimal" column i get this error.
If I create on the same connection a single source universe it works perfectly.
my BO versione is 4.1 sp2 patch 3.

I was asked to assist in a project where our DBAs are moving our Business Objects database to a new server, but the person who administers Business Objects isn't familiar with the backend to point Business Objects to the new database location. I myself (a windows server admin) am not familiar with business objects at all, but I see a utility called a Central Configuration Manager which appears to have two databases configured, a CMS System database and an Auditing database. Are these the only two databases that make up Business Objects? And is it as simple as just pointing these two fields under the CCM to the new location once the DBAs move the databases? Or is there more involved?
If anyone can point me to a document that might explain this if its more involved, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've been doing all sorts of searching and even came across a migration guide but it doesn't appear to apply to what we're running.

- Is there a documentation on the performance improvement on BOXI3.1 SP7?
- I cannot find the SP7 what's new on http://help.sap.com/boe31sp7 nor Supported Platforms Guide, where are they?

Dear Experts,
I have installed SAP Analysis for office in my desktop and while try to connect to BO using https protocol, through this error "Error while checking availability of SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform", but if I have used http means direct URL its connect fine to BO.
So how to configure Analysis for office to take https URL? here the system is single standalone, with single Apache Tomcat without separate Apache.
Please help me on this.

I have a situation where a Dashboard needs to be made to monitor the state of different SAP systems.
Within individual Systems I know its easy to monitor the systems using CCMS (rz20), but my question is, How do you get to pull out the data that is displaying on the CCMS screen so that it could be taken and displayed on a dashboard. A dashboard could be a JAVA program that displays data from various such fields and displays maybe on a TV screen.
What I found so far was,
in rz20
Click on Performance Overview.
click on CPU Utilization
So, I place my mouse pointer on Value '2' for User CPU Utilization and hit F1 and then click on Technical Details
Now even if I place my mouse pointer on Value '1'' for User CPU Utilization and hit F1 and then click on Technical Details I get the same screen as above.
So, My question is, How do we determine what data sits in what field?
The aim again is to read these data and populate an external Dashboard.
The current Systems are not connected to SolMan as we do not have a SolMan setup yet. I am just trying to make a Dashboard using the existing CCMS tool.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
