Web I Reports Running Very Slow in Portal.
Hi Experts,
I would like your suggestions/Help on how to make my reports available in launch pad to run faster/proper.
Example: I tried executing a report earlier(2 days back), it was taking 34-40 seconds to refresh, now once i am trying to execute the report it is taking 10+ minutes, and appearing with out any data or any error message.
The servers in CMC, all are in running status, System memory is sufficient. What can go wrong ?
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Active sessions BW not closing
Hi Everyone,
We are on a BO 4.1 system, and use IE 11.
I noticed in BW that the user sessions don't get killed when the user logs off from BO or closes the browser.
When I look in the CMC I don't see any active sessions.
Any idea where I can configure the sessions to close in BW?

couldnt connect to one of the clustered server box through thick clients.
Hi,
we have got two BOXI 3.1 boxes(Prod 1 a and Prod 2) which are clustered.I am not able to connect to Prod 2 from thick clients(rich client ,universe designer).but i am able to connect to Prod 1 from all the thick clients.Both the boxes are connecting through web clients as well(launchpad etc).
Error i am getting while im tryimg to log on:
[repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(Unable to log on: Could not connect to server xxxxxxxx. Please check that the server name is correct, and that the server is running.
(hr=#0x80042a01).
I have checked the firewall settings and all the ports are also open.
Not making any sense for me as prod1 is working fine.
we have recently patched our Prod 1 and Prod 2 windows servers would that cause this issue?

Audit Bunches
I'm trying to understand the structure of the auditing tables in BI4.1. For the most part, I am finding the new structure very useful. But I am struggling with one thing:
Table ads_event_detail includes a column "BUNCH' which appears to iterate multiple EVENT_DETAIL_VALUEs within a single event, providing a way to tie name/value pairs.
But it doesn't appear to be implemented for all detail types.
I am trying to tie universe CUIDs with names for Refresh events. For a document with one universe, the result is straightforward:

It seems that the event_detail_type is always ordered by universe id/universe name, but I can't be sure if that's guaranteed.
Am I looking at this the wrong way, or is there a better way to tie universe ID to universe name?

Unable to extract report instances triggered by Events
Hi BO folks,
Have a requirement to extract reports instances triggered by Events for specific time period in BOXI 3.1 environment. When tried, am able to extract the report instances which was ran through recurring instances (not based out of events) or ran on adhoc basis however the list has no instances triggered by Events.
I can retrieve the list of all recurrence schedules based out of Events but not the successful/failed instances.
Query to extract list of all recurrence schedules based out of Events:
SELECT SI_NAME, SI_OWNER, SI_PARENT_FOLDER, SI_INSTANCE, SI_SCHEDULEINFO.SI_STARTTIME, SI_SCHEDULEINFO.SI_ENDTIME,

Applet initialization error

Single Sign On Windows AD - keytab file check Help
Hi,
So I am setting up Single Sign on with Windows AD.
When adding the keytab file to the configuration (global.properties) it doesnt work. I have used the note 1359035 to test the keytab file and the results are below:

BI Launch pad inbox
Hi,
I am unable to run the Analysis Application report from the inbox. Report was created using the design studio which is connected with BI through a BOBJ OLAP connection.
However , report executes well in Local mode , in BI Platform and also through the BI launch pad .
I am able to send the report to my own Inbox , but not able to send it to the other users.
All reports are being sent to my inbox successfully , but when I try executing it from Inbox , its showing below message :

Windows AD authentication from JAVA SDK windows application
Hi,
I created an BO java sdk windows application. I am able to login using secEnterprise authentication. But unable to login using secWinAD. What could be the reason. From the same machine I am able to login to BO client tools using the same WindowsAD credentials. What could be the reason.

High CPU utilization by boe_cmsd
Hello All,
We are facing problem with performance in our BO Test system. System version is 4.1 SP 5 Patch 6.
The problem is BO is responding really slow and when check at OS level it shows 190% CPU utilization by boe_cmsd process.
We have checked we have enough resources and also 24 GB ram which was not fully utilized.

I would like to know if there are any plans to support Microsoft Edge browser in the SAP BI 4.x product? We are looking to roll this out to some of our customers and the question came up about support for Edge. Has anyone had any experience in using this combination or know of SAP's plans?

How to provide date range parameters in publication?
Hi,
I have created and scheduled a report using CMC publication, in this report we have 2 date parameters i.e. Start Date and End Date (in interactive filters) which are by default set to 'yesterday' and 'today', but while creating publication, it is again asking to set their initial values (where I selected as default values).
Since the publication is created to run this report automatically at the end of the day, thus we don't want to set these parameters manually everytime.
Please suggest is there any option to do that and why the publication is not setting the default values as selected?
We have SAP Business Objects enterprise version 14.0.7.

In there two areas is there one is UAT and another one is LIVE, we configured the crystal server for UAT and respected database, now I have to use same reports with LIVE database.
how to use same rpt file from two applications which is have seperate database.

Calendars
Is it possible to create a calendar in business object that only runs jobs hourly Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
I know how to do the Monday to Friday part in the calendar and the 9-5 bit in the recurrence but to put it all together so a job is automatically run every Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm hourly has stumped me.
Any ideas?

Locking of user-id in SAP BO 4.1
hi ,
we have a peculiar requirement . we have a user account which is used for development for longer time for BO
now we want that user id to be locked. we don't want to change password or reset,as this user-id is used in the connection creation of many universes.
so please suggest how we can lock this user id or an alternate options for this
